Dr. Cheryl Talley, Ph.D. is a psychologist, researcher, educator, and nationally recognized leader in student success and behavioral change. She serves as Professor of Psychology at Virginia State University, where her research explores academic resilience, motivation, mentoring, emotional regulation, and pathways to achievement in STEM education. As founder of the award-winning Project Knowledge initiative, Dr. Talley has led and collaborated on multiple National Science Foundation-funded projects focused on educational innovation, student development, and community impact. At Phygital Learn, she provides leadership in research design, evaluation, grant development, and evidence-based approaches that connect learning, technology, and human development.
Ling-An Fang (MFA)
Ling-An Fang, MFA is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, author, and curriculum designer whose work bridges creativity, technology, human development, and community engagement. She holds an MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has over two decades of experience developing experiential learning programs that integrate art, observation, reflection, storytelling, and personal growth. As Co-Founder of Phygital Learn, Ling-An leads curriculum innovation, creative program design, and user-centered learning experiences that connect research, technology, and real-world impact.
Mariah Simmons M.S.
Mariah Simmons, M.S. is a computer scientist, educator, and software developer with expertise in cybersecurity, data systems, and educational technology. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Virginia State University. As Lead App Developer and partner for Phygital Learn, Mariah guides the design and development of innovative digital tools that support learning, research, and community impact.
